Cedar Caredio

Cedar Caredio

I started working primarily with wood in the late 1980’s. I met renown Northwest wood carver/sculptor Dudley Carter, then living in Washington state, and apprenticed with him until 1991. I added stone to my repertoire of raw materials for projects in 2011. Currently, glass, brass, and copper round out some other materials that may be incorporated into a piece.

I am a sculptor of wood and stone who resides in Eugene, Oregon. This Cascadia region provides a multitude of subject matter to draw on as well as providing raw materials for my sculpture.

Sculpture – Wood carving, clay, metal, stone, and mixed-media sculptures.

Carol Mast

Carol Mast – Riverside Clay

Carol Mast is a clay artist based in Elkton, Oregon. Surrounded by the lush landscapes of the Pacific Northwest, she spends countless hours creating and finding pure pleasure in a small studio hidden away, transforming the beauty that surrounds her into her creations. Her work embodies a deep appreciation for organic forms, textures, and the ever-changing elements of nature.

Working with clay allows me to connect with the earth in a tangible and meaningful way. Creativity, beauty, and connection are some of the primary inspirations behind my work. It is my hope for others to see my passion in what I create. Each piece reflects the beauty that surrounds me – the gentle curves of a river, the intricate details of a flower, or the smallest of movement from a dragonfly. It has always been a special unique ability of mine to see full circle; in that I can start with a block of clay and see a beautiful vase, wine glasses, or warm coffee mug. It’s that ability and my love of sharing my work that drive me to produce more than a product, but a memory whether it be mine or yours. I strive to capture natures essence in my work, bringing a sense of tranquility and harmony into everyday life. Through my art I hope to inspire a deeper appreciation for the natural world and its timeless beauty.

Ceramics/Pottery – Functional and decorative clay-based art.

Don L. Ferrell

Don L. Ferrell

Sculptor and Painter Don Ferrell loves humor and books. Many of his original sculptures stand upon a carved wood book to symbolize that each of his artworks tell a story. Don uses many different kinds of materials to create each part of the piece and paints with acrylics. When you laugh at the humor first, look again and see the story unfold, and then see a deeper meaning come to light. When you are having fun looking at each sculpture, think how much fun Don is having!

Sculpture – Wood carving, clay, metal, stone, and mixed-media sculptures.

Painting on Silk is a passion of mine. The fluidity, the bright colors and the unique silk look make each painting totally one-of-a-kind. I also love to paint with watercolors and see the piece create itself in front of my eyes. My husband Don Ferrell and I often work together, with me painting colorful acrylics on Don’s creative wood carvings and sculptures, like the Butterfly Books and the Dance of Life Figurines. Together, with my painting the silk and Don building the frames, our Silk Panel Decore screens come to life.
