Susan Lehman

Creating movement and texture is exciting to me. Using found and artist created collage materials, along with layers of acrylic glazes, to express my South Coast Oregon environment is second nature to me. Rugged beauty of wind and sea, raw Nature are my inspirations. I like making things I have never seen before, surprising myself with unusual images, textures, and color palettes. There is always a hidden sparkle, a metallic glaze that catches the light as you walk past, inviting you in.

Susan Lehman has lived on the edge of the continent for 25 years, where land meets the sea. Classically trained at California College of Arts and Crafts, Susan works daily to express all that surrounds her. By using exotic papers from around the world and ones she creates from recycled materials, Susan works her magic. A lifelong artist, Susan has shown her creations in the San Francisco Bay Area, Sacramento River Valley Galleries, Oregon Coast Galleries, Medford Rogue Gallery and in the Seattle Area.
