Our History

Mindpower Gallery is a large privately owned gallery dedicated to showcasing artwork in a variety of venues displayed in a series of rooms so that visitors can wander through an indoor maze which is like an adventurous sightseeing tour of art.

The gallery was established in 1989 as a private fine art gallery on the Oregon Coast dedicated to showcasing the diversity of artwork by Northwest Artists.

It specializes in original artwork, custom framing, fine art crafts and furniture by local and regional artists. Many large traveling shows make their way to the gallery due to its ability to accommodate large shows, so it’s not at all unusual to see large city exhibits in this small town setting.

​Mindpower Gallery was established in 1989 in Reedsport, Oregon, as a private fine art gallery dedicated to showcasing the diversity of artwork by Northwest artists. The gallery was founded by the Szalewski family, who moved to the Reedsport/Winchester Bay area after living on a sailboat for five years. They started the gallery to fulfill their mother Rose Szalewski's lifelong dream of being an artist and having a place to showcase her work. Rose Szalewski passed away in 1996, but her daughters, Tara and Tamara Szalewski, have continued to operate and evolve the gallery over the years.

Throughout their years in business, the Szalewski sisters have been actively involved in the local art and business alliance, contributing to the cultural richness of the Reedsport area.
