Carol Mast is a clay artist based in Elkton, Oregon. Surrounded by the lush landscapes of the Pacific Northwest, she spends countless hours creating and finding pure pleasure in a small studio hidden away, transforming the beauty that surrounds her into her creations. Her work embodies a deep appreciation for organic forms, textures, and the ever-changing elements of nature.
Working with clay allows me to connect with the earth in a tangible and meaningful way. Creativity, beauty, and connection are some of the primary inspirations behind my work. It is my hope for others to see my passion in what I create. Each piece reflects the beauty that surrounds me – the gentle curves of a river, the intricate details of a flower, or the smallest of movement from a dragonfly. It has always been a special unique ability of mine to see full circle; in that I can start with a block of clay and see a beautiful vase, wine glasses, or warm coffee mug. It's that ability and my love of sharing my work that drive me to produce more than a product, but a memory whether it be mine or yours. I strive to capture natures essence in my work, bringing a sense of tranquility and harmony into everyday life. Through my art I hope to inspire a deeper appreciation for the natural world and its timeless beauty.
